Der Feiertag hat mich etwas verwirrt, irgendwie h\u00e4nge ich seitdem einen Tag hinterher, aber egal, dann gibts den R\u00fcckblick halt zum Mittwoch.
\nMit 1054 gelesenen Seiten und 3 beendeten B\u00fcchern ging f\u00fcr mich die letzte Woche zu Ende.
\nAls erstes habe ich endlich „Blackwater“ von Michael McDowell zur Hand genommen und und nur zum Schlafen und Arbeiten weggelegt. Der Schreibstil des Autors hatte mich ja schon bei „Die Elementare“ begeistert, leider fand ich die Story an sich aber todlangweilig. Die Familiengeschichte der Caskeys hingegen hat mich vom ersten Moment gefesselt, trotz oder gerade wegen der total ruhigen Erz\u00e4hlweise. Gerade als ich mit dem ersten Band fertig war, trudelte der zweite hier ein, ein Zeichen? „Die Geister von Alcatraz: Ray“ von Kathrin Wandres war Buch Nummer zwei, ein guter Thriller mit \u00fcbernat\u00fcrlichem Touch, au\u00dferdem habe ich mich mit „Das M\u00e4dchen im Eis“ ein zweites Mal zusammen mit Sam Porter auf die Suche nach dem Four Monkey Killer gemacht, b\u00f6se \u00dcberraschungen inklusive. Ich muss sagen, insgesamt bin ich mit meiner Buchauswahl sehr zufrieden.

Und „Terrifier 2“, nun ja … Schon den Hype um den ersten konnte ich nicht wirklich nachvollziehen, trotzdem war ich gespannt, was man wohl mit mehr Geld aus der Fortsetzung gemacht hat. Sagen wir es mal so, ich glaube, ich bin zu alt um seltsamen Clowns dabei zuzusehen, wie sie ihre Mitmenschen mit irgendwelchen Schlagwerkzeugen zu Hackfleisch verarbeiten. Eine Story ist so gut wie nicht vorhanden, daf\u00fcr gibts eine Menge Gewalt. Damit hab ich an sich kein Problem, wenn es aber so wie hier einzig und allein nur darum geht und man ansonsten keine Ahnung hat, was da eigentlich vor sich geht, bin ich raus. So wie hier. Ich glaub, ich werd tats\u00e4chlich langsam zu alt f\u00fcr sowas, denn auch „Evil Dead Rise“ konnte mich nicht wirklich begeistern.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hoffentlich hab ich mit „Renfield“ die Tage mehr Gl\u00fcck, den muss ich mir unbedingt im Kino ansehen, vorher muss ich aber erstmal ein williges Opfer suchen, das nach meiner Begleitung schmachtet.^^<\/span><\/p>\n
